Ren Stone is the solo project of infectious multi-instrumentalist and founder of world music group Rhythm Hunters, Rendra Freestone.

Ren Stone’s project takes him back to his roots in singer/songwriter folk music, drawing inspiration from the conscious roots movement and his background in traditional Indonesian music, particularly from the provinces of Aceh and West Sumatra, with thought-provoking and emotive lyrics.

Influenced by his time spent playing with Rhythm Hunters, Chaika, Nicky Bomba and on the same festival circuit as the likes of Trevor Hall, Dustin Thomas, Rising Appalachia, Kevin James and others, Ren Stone sets out to inspire change with his audience and create music through his personal journeys, philosophies, travels and experiences.
